On the workbench
How she's made.
Under Grandma's headscarf is a skull-jawed wolf on an aluminum-channel skeleton. Ten DS3218 servos move her. Two sit in a V behind her head and drive a cardan (universal) joint: together they nod, opposed they cock her head to one side. A third pans her head, a fourth works her jaw, and her shoulders, elbows and new abduction joints let her arms reach forward, curl and swing out to the side. A strip of WS2812 LEDs lights her eyes.
Her brain is an ESP32-S3 running MicroPython, with a Pimoroni Servo 2040 easing every move at 50 Hz. She sits on a wooden cabinet with a brass clock crank and a real Hermle ratchet. Talos drives her voice, jaw and gestures, so every word lands with a movement.
